Job summary

Precision for Medicine in Frederick, MD is seeking a skilled flow cytometry scientist to contribute to assay development, validation, and execution in a timely manner. You will perform SOP-driven experiments and support development of new procedures and improvements to existing SOPs.

The role requires a Master’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and computational skills. Occasional long hours and physical lab work are expected.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in life sciences or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Expert level flow cytometry skills using whole blood and isolated cells.
  • Strong communication and data analysis skills; ability to prepare reports.
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad Prism, Diva and FlowJo.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in cold environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Flow cytometry primarily, as well as other immune assays.
  • Design and perform experiments, independently and analyze data.
  • Maintain and improve SOP documentation and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues; update techniques as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams and support external clients.
