Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for a 15-week contract in Shelton, CT. Schedule is Tue-Sat, Eastern time, with a pay rate of $30-40 hourly based on experience.

Role involves handling specimens, performing analyses, releasing results, and ensuring compliance with CLIA, HIPAA and OSHA guidelines. Requires a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Biochemistry and at least 1 year of high-complexity testing experience, with flow cytometry experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred
• Transcripts will be requested for review throughout consideration process
• 1 year clinical experience (high complexity testing)
• Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing samples are tested like patient specimens
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures
• Review and release test results
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety guidelines as described
• Adhere to laboratory policies when test systems are out of range
• Identify problems that may affect test performance and report to senior technologist or supervisor
