Job summary

Powerserve Technologies seeks a Substation Technician / Substation Electrician for Florida projects. You will install and assemble high‑voltage equipment as part of a crew across multiple substations statewide.

The role requires hands‑on experience in above‑grade substation work, with travel across Florida and a 4x10 schedule plus overtime. Per diem and mileage reimbursements are provided along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in substation construction or related electrical work.
Basic knowledge of high-voltage equipment installation.
Familiarity with substation drawings and layouts.
Willingness to travel throughout Florida; own vehicle with mileage reimbursements and per diem.
Ability to work a 4x10 schedule with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation and erection of substation steel structures and above-grade components.
Install high-voltage equipment including circuit breakers, transformers, disconnect switches, surge arresters.
Perform switchgear installation across various configurations.
Assist with protection & control equipment installation and wiring.
Support commissioning and energization activities.
Read and interpret basic prints and construction drawings.
Maintain safety protocols and contribute to a safe job site.
