Job summary

EarthBalance Corp in Florida is seeking a hands-on Nursery Production Specialist to support propagation, potting, irrigation, fertilization, and plant health monitoring, ensuring high-quality native plant material. You will work closely with nursery management and team members to maintain clean, organized production areas and accurate labeling, inventory, and production records.

This role offers growth in Florida native plant identification, production planning, and safe operation of nursery

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Horticulture or related coursework preferred but not required.
• Prior nursery or plant production experience preferred but not required.
• Interest in Florida native plants and commercial production.
• Ability to follow production schedules and procedures.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist propagation and production of native plant species.
• Do potting, transplanting, spacing, pruning as needed.
• Monitor plant health and quality.
• Identify pests and health issues and report to management.
• Assist with irrigation adjustments and basic repairs.
• Assist with fertilizer applications and plant treatments.
• Learn Florida native plant identification and production practices.
• Maintain production area cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with inventory, labeling, and production records.
• Prepare plant material for orders and restoration projects.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Support general nursery operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
