Job summary

ShopRite of Somerset is hiring a Floral Clerk in Somerset, NJ. The role involves pricing, stocking, and rotating merchandise in the Floral Department, while maintaining a neat, clean, and visually appealing area. You will assist customers, wrap and price merchandise, and ensure product rotation and quality assurance.

Essential duties include stocking, signage, and maintaining department sanitation. The position requires reading and speaking English, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service; assist with pricing, stocking, and rotation of merchandise.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing Floral Department.
• Follow procedures for receiving, dating, storing, and price marking products.
• Differentiate between flowers and plants and related merchandise; provide care guidance.
• Keep display cases stocked and signed; ensure attractive presentation.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise to Floral Department as needed.
• Adhere to safety, QA, and company policies in daily tasks.
• Work according to health, safety, and sanitation standards; attend required training.
