Job summary

The Flowerman is seeking a part-time Floral Designer to join our Dayton, Ohio team. In our warehouse-oriented setting, you will create floral arrangements and assist with customer orders while supporting multiple departments.

You’ll provide friendly, helpful service to customers both in person and over the phone. The role requires flexibility to work 2–3 Saturdays per month, physical ability to stand 8–10 hours, and the readiness to work in cooler environments.

Floral Designer - Dayton

The Flowerman is looking for a floral designer to work part time in our Dayton, Ohio location.

Overview

Summary: Your role in the company will be to assist various departments in a warehouse setting and to support the company vision. You will perform functions relating to customer service, making floral arrangements, answering phone calls, accepting orders for arrangements and special order flowers, verifying floral deliveries, inventory checks, verifying product quality, stocking, and organizing. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members both on the phone and in person.

Duties

• Support goals and visions of the Team and the Store and follow all company policies.
• Make floral arrangements of various sizes, price points and styles
• Excellent customer service for walk-in customers and phone customers
• Run cash register, answer phone calls, cash handling

Requirements

• Ability to clearly communicate with team members
• Available for semi-flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the company
• Multi-tasking for greater efficiency
• Capability to stand/walk a minimum of 8-10 hours at a time
• Sometimes required to work in freezer/cooler at temperatures around 38 degrees
• Available to work 2-3 Saturdays per month

Work Environment

Most work is performed under warehouse conditions in a slightly temperature controlled environment in the winter and open air environment in the summer.
