Food City is seeking a hands-on internship focused on customer service and floral operations. You will greet customers, assist with floral arrangements, process flowers, and help with inventory while maintaining friendly service standards.

This on-site role requires reliability and a teamwork mindset in a fast-paced grocery environment. The position supports a culture of service excellence, with opportunities to learn merchandising, pricing accuracy, and daily store operations within Food City

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times in support of the company mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
• Maintain a positive attitude; create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through flexibility and teamwork.
• Generate a positive, friendly, and fun working environment with a customer first initiative by greeting and speaking to customers, provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service.
• Assist in making floral arrangements
• Process flowers and water plants
• Inspect and rotate merchandise daily
• Unload floral trucks and check in merchandise
• Stock coolers
• Maintain correct pricing of merchandise
• Take telephone orders from customers
• Assist with ordering merchandise and inventory
• Keep workstation and area around workstation neat and clean
• Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
