Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting with floral orders in person or by phone.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish floral products including small arrangements, corsages, bouquets, and other items.
• Manage order paperwork, process invoices, and complete all required documentation with confidentiality.
• Deliver orders as needed and ensure accuracy of sender, recipient, and cost details.
• Maintain department cleanliness, restock products, and support cashier duties as required.

If you have a creative spirit, enjoy working with people, and take pride in a job well done, we'd love to have you on our team.What You'll DoNo two shifts are exactly the same, but here's what you can expect:Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting every customer with a smile and assisting them with placing floral orders in person or over the phone, including completing all required order paperworkPrepare, finish, and replenish product including small floral and greenery arrangements, corsages and boutonnieres, roses, carnations, balloon bouquets, bows, and other floral itemsSend and retrieve FTD, Teleflora, and computer orders; maintain confidentiality on all orders placed including sender, recipient, order details, and costReview floral products for freshness and anticipate daily product needs for the departmentWater plants and maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the department including coolers, counters, floors, and sinksPrepare the daily delivery list and deliver orders as neededUnload trucks, place product in appropriate storage areas, check in product, put product away, and process invoices as neededRun the department register, receive payment, and make change as applicableRemove trash in a timely manner and assist with general department upkeepAnswer the phone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who callFollow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelinesPitch in with other tasks or special projects as they come upYour SkillsYou don't need extensive experience for this role; we'll provide the training you need to succeed.
