Job summary

Dillons in Wichita, KS is seeking a floral assistant to support design and merchandising for display and customer orders. You will assist customers, maintain clean and organized work areas, and help create floral arrangements while ensuring excellent service and adherence to safety and company policies.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to read labels and signs, and the flexibility to work weekends and holidays in a fast-paced grocery environment.

• Help design and create floral arrangements and/or other items to fill customer orders.
• Package orders effectively, safely and efficiently.
• Keep merchandise and supplies in their proper areas.
• Maintain customer records and files properly.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting items.
• Handle telephone calls and orders promptly and courteously.
• Assist in decorating and merchandising the department.
• Keep carts, tools, and supplies in their designated areas and well organized.
• Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
• Maintain plants, process and prepare flower arrangements and fill balloons.
• Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and space for merchandise.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including state and federal laws.
• Operate cash register per procedures, as applicable.
• Maintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
