Albertsons Companies Inc. is hiring a Front-End Team Member at Safeway in Denver to deliver a smooth checkout experience and friendly service for every customer.

You will scan items, bag groceries, answer questions, keep the front end organized, restock supplies, and rotate between tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Flexible scheduling (early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays) and benefits for eligible employees are offered.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and friendly communication at checkout
• Ability to process purchases accurately with cash, card, and digital payments
• Attention to price accuracy, produce codes, and order completion
• Basic math skills for cash handling and making change
• Organizing tasks and managing time during shifts
• Assisting with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and front-end upkeep
• Problem awareness for pricing or transaction questions
• Following store policies, register procedures and checkout processes
• Adaptability to changing tasks and customer flow
• Comfort standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

Another part of the role is keeping the front end organized, clean, and running consistently throughout the day. You’ll rotate between tasks like handling transactions, collecting carts, restocking supplies, and maintaining the checkout area. With a steady flow of customers and changing priorities, the work stays active, making it a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and staying engaged in a fast‑paced environment.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on local/state requirements)
• Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required
