Job summary

ACV Auctions is hiring an Analyst, Floorplan Credit to assess lending requests, analyze financial statements, and provide risk-based summaries. The role involves evaluating tax returns, contracts, and credit reports, with a focus on compliance and timely processing of credits, while interfacing with customers and internal teams.

The position requires a 4-year degree in business/finance, 2 years in auto or financial services, and experience with finance software.

Qualifications

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related major.
  • 2 years in Auto or Financial Service industry.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Experience with inventory finance software programs.
  • Working knowledge of auto dealer statements and auto auctions preferred.
  • Experience analyzing tax returns and financial statements for credit facilities.
  • Ability to perform cash flow analysis to assess liquidity.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workflow and prioritize tasks.

  • Perform financial and performance trend analyses and make recommendations.
  • Manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes with attention to detail.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up to process accounts timely and efficiently.

  • Interface with customer representatives to resolve credit issues.
  • Communicate with internal management to resolve credit-related questions.
  • Assess collateral requirements with internal departments.
  • Ensure compliance in all transactions and with laws.
  • Review legal docs to ensure proper security and compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Who we are looking for:

The Analyst, Floorplan Credit possesses a combination of skills that relate to the analytical nature of assessing lending requests and providing quality analytical summary on accounts. This role identifies material risks through analysis of financial statements, tax returns, contracts, credit reports, legal reports, UCC analysis and external web sites. The Analyst, Floorplan Credit utilizes computer programs to assess the eligibility of a credit applicant based on risk factors and applicant information.

What you will do:
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Perform financial and performance trend analysis based upon corporate key ratios and make supported recommendations.
  • Manage multiple priorities within tight timeframes while maintaining ongoing attention to detail.
  • Ensure prompt follow-up is maintained to process account timely and efficiently.
  • Confirm all required supporting documentation per account to secure corporate interest.
  • Interface directly with customer representatives to resolve credit related issues, questions or concerns, including external customers, customer accountants, CEO or CFO.
  • Communicate directly with internal management or Regional Sales Executives to resolve credit-related issues, questions, or concerns.
  • Assess and determine additional or current collateral requirements in coordination with other internal departments.
  • Ensure compliance in the completion of all assigned transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Review legal documentation to ensure transactions are properly secured and comply with all State and Federal Laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you will need:
  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree - Business, Accounting, Finance, or related major required
  • 2 year(s) Auto or Financial Service industry
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Experience in various inventory finance software programs.
  • Working knowledge of Auto Dealer prepared statements and auto auctions preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in business accounting/financial statement concepts, procedures and process typically used in automotive and financial service industries.
  • Ability to analyze tax returns, CPA audited, reviewed and dealer-prepared business financial statements for accounts that require a credit facility.
  • Ability to perform cash flow analysis to determine accounts liquidity.
  • Ability of self-reliance and prioritize work flow in heavy volume environment.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements to determine profitability and financial ratios.
  • Skill to review customer bank statements and identify credit related issues.
  • Ability to assess and analyze personal financial statements.
  • Analyze credit worthiness of principals including asset search examination.
  • Knowledge of business documentation including Sole Proprietorships, S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships and Limited Liability Corporations. Holding Companies, etc.
  • Knowledge of legal document preparation, including lease and loan documentation, security perfection, researching and documenting corporate information and statutes, corporate by-laws, signature authority protocol, etc.
  • Ability to research and analyze UCC filings to determine collateral positioning of all filers and its effect on account risk.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Google, Salesforce, etc. or comparable software application.
