Job summary

Ritsema Associates is seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to support high‑quality commercial flooring installations across multiple project sites. You will prepare surfaces, install tile, wood, carpet, and specialty materials, and ensure durable, precise results.

  • Must provide and maintain personal hand tools (power and specialty tools provided).

Responsibilities

  • Install various types of flooring including tile, wood, carpet, and specialty materials.
  • Perform floor preparation tasks such as leveling, sanding, and surface repair.
  • Ensure all installations meet company standards for quality, accuracy, and durability.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, ensuring correctness and cost‑effective execution.
  • Arrive on time and ready to work at assigned job sites.
  • Follow instructions and communicate clearly with field leaders.
  • Cooperate with team members and assist with additional tasks as needed.
  • Represent the company in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a productive workflow with minimal downtime.
  • Inspect completed work and report any issues to the Field Leader or Superintendent.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and jobsite conditions.
  • Follow all jobsite safety protocols and company safety standards.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to support project success

Compensation

$25 – $30 per hour.

Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Flooring Installer to support high‑quality flooring installations across a variety of commercial projects. The Flooring Installer is responsible for installing multiple flooring types, preparing surfaces, ensuring accuracy and durability, and maintaining a safe and professional jobsite environment.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and ladder climbing
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Must pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
Travel Requirements
  • Reliable transportation required to travel between job sites
