Job summary

Big Red Flooring in Omaha, NE, is hiring a Commercial Flooring Estimator / Business Development Manager to help review, estimate, bid, and win a large volume of flooring projects. You will build relationships with contractors, perform takeoffs, price labor and materials, and manage opportunities from bid through to profitability.

The ideal candidate has experience in flooring, construction estimating, blueprint reading, takeoffs, sales, and project bidding, with a track record of converting

Qualifications

• Experience in flooring, construction estimating, blueprint reading, takeoffs and bid submissions.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and deliver profitable bids.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate estimates.
• Price labor, materials and project costs and submit bid proposals.
• Track bid results and follow up with contractors.
• Build relationships with general contractors, builders and owners.
• Win new business and develop strategic opportunities to grow revenue.
• Manage and bid millions of dollars in opportunities and coordinate with operations.
• Assist with project handoff and monitor profitability, identifying change orders.
