Position Summary

The Floor Tech position provides the cleaning and maintaining carpets and hard surface floors clean. Primary focus will be to service the existing business, operationally and financially, while maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business where possible.

Position Details

SHIFT: Monday - Friday

SCHEDULE: 5PM - 9PM

HOURLY RATE: $18.00

• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all floors including carpet and hard surface floors, including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning.
• Complete work assignments in a timely manner
• Utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to policy and procedure
• Leverage and maintain floor equipment as appropriate
• Ability to work without normal supervision
• Floor Tech must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
• Observe safety precautions at all times, uses safety signs “wet floor”
• Promote a safety first work culture.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Education

• Experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, including chemicals, supplies and methods used in office cleaning.
• At least 4 years of previous floor care experience required.
• At least 1 year of previous janitorial experience preferred.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
• Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to understand all safety requirements and cautions.
• Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
