Job summary

Global Connections to Employment (GCE) is seeking a Floor Technician to support our facilities maintenance program. The role involves floor care duties performed safely and with quality service for customers, coworkers, and supervisors.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of floor care experience or complete the GCE certification within 90 days, be able to work multiple shifts including weekends and OT, and pass background screenings. Travel between sites is possible.

Overview

The Floor Technician is responsible for safely performing floor care duties as assigned by management. Quality service is expected to be provided to customers at all times. Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job as it pertains to this position.

Role Requirements:

• Experience:
  o Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience in floor care or pass the GCE Floor Care Certification Training within the first 90 days.
• Must be able to follow multi-step directions.
• Must be able to interact appropriately with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Must be able to work multiple shifts to include weekends and overtime (OT).
• Must be able to perform the essential functions described below safely.
• Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings, as appropriate.
• Duties may vary depending on contract specifications and building assignment.

Physical Requirements:

May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions. Most work will take place indoors. Will work with cleaning chemicals. Will be required to follow the Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements. Schedules are subject to change.

While performing this job's duties, the team member is regularly required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, and lift up to 40 pounds. Must be able to assist in lifting equipment and move furniture when necessary; will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
