Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. seeks a dedicated housekeeper to maintain Jasper Health Systems in a clean, sanitary, infection-free condition. You will clean building, fixtures, and furnishings according to schedule.

Responsibilities

• Follow cleaning schedule daily, weekly and monthly as directed by supervisors.
• Maintain facility in sanitary condition by cleaning and replacing equipment.
• Clean floors, entrances, rooms, and furnishings; assist with curtain dividers as needed.
• Dust mop, sweep, and operate floor scrubber with disinfectant daily.
• Vacuum and shampoo rugs and carpets as required.
• Remove and dispose of waste to proper outside containers.
• Move furniture in resident rooms for cleaning; report repairs to supervisor.
• Ensure tools and supplies are stored properly at end of day.
• Report any needed repairs to supervisor or maintenance.

Essential Duties andResponsibilities:

Thepurpose of this position is to maintain Jasper Health Systems in a clean, sanitary and infection-freecondition through cleaning of building, fixtures, and furnishings.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follows cleaningschedule (daily, weekly and monthly) as outlined by the Housekeeping Directorand Assistant Director.
• Maintain facilityin a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning andreplacement of equipment and furnishings.
• The generalcleaning and appearance of floors and entrances except for the occupied patientrooms and kitchen.
• Dust mops and/orsweeps and run floor scrubber with a disinfecting solution on a daily basis.
• Vacuums interiorand exterior entrance rugs, and carpet. Also shampoo and disinfect rugs andcarpet on an as needed basis.
• Remove and discardwaste /trash the housekeeper has removed from areas throughout facility and putinto proper containers outside the facility.
• Strip and sealfloors as directed by Director and/or Assistant Director.
• Move furniture inresident rooms on an as needed basis for the housekeeper.
• Remove forcleaning divider curtains in patient / resident rooms.
• Clean any chairsthat have been soiled by a resident or guest.
• Steam wheel chairsand other chairs as needed.
• Work areas cleanand that tools and supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well asbefore leaving such areas at the end of the day.
• Maintains andcleans equipment used in performing duties.
• Other duties asassigned or miscellaneous related duties as assigned.
• Report any neededrepairs immediately to supervisor (either nursing and/or housekeeping) ordirectly report to the Maintenance Department.

Education and/or WorkExperience Requirements:

• Ability to work independently, and to followdirections and carry out assignments to completion working independently
• Good verbal communication skills including theability to communicate with residents, their families, and coworkers.
• Must display patience, tact, a cheerful dispositionand enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents gently
• High school diploma or GED required
