Job summary

Caron Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Utility/Floor Technician to keep patient areas and campus facilities clean and safe. You will vacuums, clean vents, floors, and upholstery while working at multiple campus sites.

You will participate in training, follow safety protocols, and may need to work beyond regular hours. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential to support our mission.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid PA driver’s license.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Must meet minimum MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, restrooms, offices, lounges and other areas across campus.
• Attend educational programs and staff meetings as required.
• Follow safety procedures and report incidents or hazards promptly.
• Work beyond normal hours and weekends if necessary.
• Clean and maintain environmental services equipment daily and preventively.
• Manage storage, deliveries, snow removal, and waste disposal per policy.
• Schedule and perform intermittent and restorative cleaning of flooring, carpet and upholstery.

Floor Technician Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Environmental Services Utility/Floor Technician is responsible for the cleanliness of all areas assigned by the Supervisor of Environmental Services. This may include patient rooms, restrooms, offices, lounges and will consist of vacuuming, cleaning vents, walls, floors, lights etc. This will require working at various sites throughout the campus.
• Attend and participate in educational programs and staff meetings as required.
• The Environmental Services Utility/Floor Technician will maintain and ensure a safe and secure environment by following safety procedures and reporting all accidents/incidents, hazardous conditions, broken equipment, and safety hazards to Maintenance or Environmental Services Supervisor.
• The ability to work beyond normal hours and weekends may be necessary.
• The Environmental Services Utility/Floor Technician must maintain cleanliness and functionality of environmental services equipment performing daily and routine preventative maintenance.
• Must maintain assigned storage closets, deliver supplies, shovel snow, and dispose of waste in accordance with established policy & procedures.

• The Environmental Services Utility/Floor Technician is responsible for scheduling and performing the intermittent and restorative cleaning of all hard flooring, carpet, and upholstery.

• Must be able to handle and/or lift a minimum of 100 lbs. as necessary to perform required tasks. This includes moving furniture, large equipment, and materials.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, push and pull to perform required tasks.
• Must be able to climb various sets of steps and work off a 5-ft. stepladder.
• Must be able to work around odors and chemicals .

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid PA driver’s license.
• 21 years of age or older is required.
• Must meet minimum requirements on Motor Vehicle Reports in accordance with Driving Standards Policy.
• Requires a current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
