Job summary

SSC Services for Education, a Compass Group company, is hiring Floor Technicians for Locust Grove High School and other district locations. We offer full-time and part-time shifts with flexible scheduling, $13.02 per hour, and opportunities for training and growth.

Responsibilities include floor maintenance, operation of floor care equipment, and servicing carpets and upholstery. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures. Benefits and same-day pay available.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with floor care including buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.

• Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

• We are hiring immediately for full time and part time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.
• Location: Locust Grove HS - 3275 South Ola Road, Locus Grove, GA 30248. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time and part time schedules; Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: Prior experience with floor care, including buffing, stripping, and waxing.
• Fixed Pay Rate: $13.02 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
