Compass Group USA, SSC Services for Education, is hiring Floor Technician for College Station location. This role covers floor maintenance, restoration, and operation of floor care equipment.

Openings include full-time and part-time night shifts (10:00 pm - 6:30 am) with required prior janitorial experience and floor care knowledge. Training and benefits are provided, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as floor care technician or related role.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing).
• Operate various industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery cleaning including shampooing, damp surfaces, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

FLOOR TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

• We are hiring immediately for full time and part time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.
• Location: TAMU Jan HS - 600 Agronomy Road, College Station, TX 77843. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full time and part time schedules; Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:30 am. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)
• Requirement: Prior janitorial experience is required, and floor care experience is preferred.
• Pay Range: $14.00per hour to$17.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary:Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface

• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
