SSC Services for Education, part of Compass Group, is hiring a Floor Technician for a full-time role at McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. You will perform floor maintenance, operate industrial floor care equipment, and ensure clean, safe floors across facilities.

Experience in floor care and safety procedures is preferred. The job offers comprehensive benefits, a competitive hourly wage of $16.00–$18.00 per hour, and opportunities for growth within a nationwide facility service provider.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstering care including shampooing, damp surfaces, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Requirement: Prior floor technician experience is required.
• Pay Range: $16.00per hour to$18.00 per hour.
