Job summary

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Floor Technician at Prisma Health Tuomey in Sumter, SC. This role focuses on floor maintenance, restoration, and operating industrial floor care equipment to keep our healthcare facilities safe and clean.

We seek candidates with prior customer service experience and knowledge of floor care equipment and safety procedures. Full-time schedule includes AM/PM shifts; some weekends may be required. Online applications only.

Responsibilities

• Maintains knowledge of hard-surface floor maintenance and proper procedures for stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Uses automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Performs carpet and upholstery care including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
