Job summary

Floor Technician position at ESFM, a division of Compass Group USA, located at 1155 Coleman Avenue, San Jose, CA 95110. This is a full-time role with a 5:00 am to 1:30 pm schedule, Monday to Friday, offering an hourly pay rate of $18.50.

The incumbent will perform floor maintenance, operate floor care equipment, and support carpet and upholstery care. Prior floor care experience and safety-conscious practices are required.

Qualifications

• Previous floor care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform hard-floor maintenance including stripping, refinishing, burnishing.
• Operate various industrial floor care equipment.
• Clean carpets and upholstery: shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming.
• Perform maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Summary

Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface
• Use the proper procedures on carpet and upholstering including shampooing, damp surface, extractions, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.
• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
