Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a dedicated Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors and assist with basic maintenance at a skilled nursing facility in St. Louis.

You will perform routine tasks, follow infection control procedures, and support a welcoming environment for residents and staff. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in healthcare housekeeping or floor care, with knowledge of floor equipment and safety protocols, and the ability to follow schedules independently while

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in housekeeping, floor care, or maintenance in healthcare or commercial setting.
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment, cleaning chemicals, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow schedules and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a team player mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet care.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all facility areas such as hallways, restrooms, resident rooms, and common spaces.
  • Follow safety and infection control procedures, including proper signage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Support basic maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, cleaning vents, and washing windows.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Assist with outdoor upkeep including sweeping entrances and cleaning patio furniture.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for residents and visitors.
