Job summary

SSC Services for Education is hiring immediately for a Floor Technician at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. This full-time night shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Minimum 1 year of floor care experience is required; compensation is $16.50 per hour. Responsibilities include operating industrial floor care equipment, hard floor maintenance, carpet care, and restoration across various floor types.

Qualifications

• 1 year of prior floor care and maintenance experience is required.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques is required.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning).
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Use automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care (shampooing, damp surfaces, extraction, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
• Perform maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

We are hiring immediately for full time FLOOR TECHNICIAN positions.

Location: University of Texas Southwestern - 5323 Harry Hines Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75390. (Openings at other locations within school district available) Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time schedule; Sunday through Thursday, 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. More details upon interview. (Full and Part Time with the flexibility to meet most scheduling needs)

Fixed Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

Essential Functions

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and use proper procedures on hard floor care including stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing
• Operate various types of industrial floor care equipment
• Utilize automated equipment for cleaning of large area of floor surface

• Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques required
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
