Job summary

Simpson is seeking a Floor Technician to join our Philadelphia-area team. The role involves daily cleaning of the facility, including floors, carpets, resident rooms, and common areas, to maintain a sanitary and orderly environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

You will vacuum, strip, wax, buff, and shampoo floors as needed, clean stairwells and receiving areas, and assist with event setups. A commitment to quality and safety in a long-term care setting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily tasks to maintain the facility in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition for residents, visitors and employees.
• Cleans facility floors and carpeted areas.
• Cleans resident rooms per prescribed schedule using authorized supplies.
• Cleans offices, common areas, laundry rooms, halls, handrails, fountains, phones, elevators, restrooms, lobbies, chapel and employee areas.
• Vacuum hallways, porches, dining rooms, elevators; empties trash; strips, waxes, buffs, vacuums and shampoos as needed.
• Cleans stairwells and fire towers; maintains receiving areas neat inside and outside.
• Sets up chairs, tables, podium for events; reports malfunctioning equipment.
• Attends in-services; ensures proper appearance and operation of equipment.
