Job summary

Alpine Valley Post Acute & Healthcare Center is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors throughout the facility. The role involves performing floor care procedures, operating heavy equipment, and assisting with carpet cleaning and maintenance to uphold high standards of cleanliness.

The ideal candidate brings prior floor care experience, knowledge of chemicals and equipment, and a strong commitment to safety in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Floor Technician or in a related environmental services role preferred.
• Working knowledge of floor care equipment, chemicals, and maintenance techniques preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use appropriate precautions due to physical and environmental risks.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care procedures: stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, spray buffing of hard floors.
• Operate industrial floor care equipment safely to clean and maintain floor surfaces.
• Clean and maintain carpeted and upholstered surfaces (shampooing, vacuuming, damp cleaning, extraction).
• Perform routine maintenance and restorative care for all floor types to keep areas clean, safe, and polished.
• Follow safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Properly collect, handle, and dispose of municipal solid waste, infectious waste, and pharmaceutical waste.
• Report maintenance or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
• Support housekeeping and environmental services operations as needed.

• Report any maintenance, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly to supervisory staff.

• Support overall housekeeping and environmental services operations as needed to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
