South Haven Health & Rehabilitation is hiring a Floor Technician to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. The role involves floor care, waxing, buffing, and operating cleaning equipment in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate brings floor care or commercial cleaning experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Competitive pay based on experience and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care, commercial cleaning, housekeeping or janitorial work preferred.
• Experience operating floor buffers, scrubbers or similar equipment is a plus.
• Knowledge of stripping and waxing floors is a plus.
• Must be dependable with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors as needed.
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other cleaning equipment.
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
• Clean and maintain carpets and other floor surfaces.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and safety procedures.
• Maintain equipment and report repairs as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Strip, wax, buff, and polish floors as needed
• Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other cleaning equipment
• Sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility
• Clean and maintain carpets and other floor surfaces
• Follow established cleaning schedules
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely
• Maintain equipment and report needed repairs
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures
• Assist the housekeeping team as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Floor care, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial experience preferred
• Experience with floor buffers, scrubbers, or similar equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of stripping and waxing floors preferred
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work
• Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
