Job summary

Archway Transitional Care in Alabama is seeking a dedicated housekeeping professional to maintain clean, safe spaces for our patients. You’ll receive weekly pay and participate in a benefits program designed to support your life inside and outside the workplace.

Duties include floor care (dusting, sweeping, mopping), equipment cleanliness, waste disposal, and assisting with maintenance tasks. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this mission-driven, non-profit environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Excellent communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Dust, sweep, mop, buff, strip, and wax floors as scheduled by supervisor.
• Clean and store equipment at the end of each shift.
• Report any needed repairs.
• Perform waste disposal procedures as required by supervisor.
• Assist in the proper care and use of housekeeping equipment.
• Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
• Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
• Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

Responsible for performing various tasks to provide a clean environment for our patients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A high school diploma or its equivalent preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

None.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
