Job summary

Spring Haven Senior Living LLC in Winter Haven, FL is hiring a Floor Technician to maintain common area flooring and assist with campus upkeep.

You will operate floor machines, perform routine care, and support housekeeping and maintenance teams. This role includes trash removal, minor repairs, and helping residents with transfers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous floor care, housekeeping, janitorial, maintenance, or environmental services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial floor machines throughout the community.
• Clean and maintain flooring in common areas.
• Perform routine floor care projects as assigned.
• Monitor equipment performance and report concerns.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to floor equipment when able.
• Daily removal of trash from common area trash rooms.
• Daily removal of trash from trash chutes.
• Collect trash and debris throughout the campus.
• Assist residents with apartment relocations and transfers.

What You'll Be Doing

Floor Care & Community Appearance

• Operate commercial floor machines throughout the community
• Clean and maintain flooring in common areas
• Perform routine floor care projects as assigned
• Monitor equipment performance and report concerns
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs to floor equipment when able

Trash & Waste Management

• Daily removal of trash from common area trash rooms
• Daily removal of trash from trash chutes
• Collection of trash and debris throughout the campus
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of disposal areas

General Community Support

• Complete touch-up painting projects in common areas
• Assist Housekeeping and Maintenance teams as needed
• Support community-wide projects and special assignments
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment

Resident Apartment Transfers

• Assist residents with apartment relocations
• Box and transport resident belongings
• Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed
• Set up resident apartments after transfer
• Work with residents and families to ensure a smooth moving experience

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous floor care, housekeeping, janitorial, maintenance, or environmental services experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate commercial cleaning equipment
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and work throughout the day
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass a Level 2 Background Check
• Ability to pass a drug screen
