Job summary

Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Floor Tech / EVS Technician to maintain floors throughout the facility and support housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas.

Under the Director of Housekeeping, you will ensure clean, safe environments for residents, staff, and visitors. Experience in EVS or housekeeping is preferred, with English literacy and the ability to work 18+ hours. This is a full-time, on-site role in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in floor care, housekeeping, or EVS preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Dust and wet mop floors in hallways, entryways, and common areas.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors according to cleaning schedules.
• Operate and maintain floor care equipment properly.
• Inspect equipment for proper functioning and report any issues.
• Clean equipment after each use.
• Assist with cleaning resident rooms and assigned areas as needed.
• Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures.
