Job summary

North Valley Hospital District is seeking a Floor Tech to clean and maintain floor surfaces across hospital facilities, including the Extended Care and Verbeck Building. You will help create a safe, welcoming environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include routine floor care, equipment use, waste handling, and adherence to infection control practices. Strong customer service and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible, organized, and function well in stressful situations.
• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• General floor care: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping.
• Use industrial floor care tools including scrubber/buffer and cleaning products.
• Clean patient rooms, nursing units, surgeries, labs, offices, waiting areas, rest rooms, and corridors.
• Maintain and replenish supplies; use and maintain equipment properly.
• Assist visitors and transport trash and hazardous waste.
• Follow infection control practices and safety precautions.
