Job summary

Desoto-Health- is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain clean, safe floors throughout our nursing home facility. You will perform routine floor care, including cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing while ensuring a sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

The role requires you to operate floor care equipment such as buffers and scrubbers, follow safety procedures, and work independently or as part of a team with good time-management and attention to detail.

Qualifications

The Floor Technician is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and attractive floors throughout the nursing home facility. This position performs routine and specialized floor care, including cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, and maintaining various types of flooring. The Floor Technician helps ensure a clean and sanitary environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, scrubbers, and other cleaning machines. Follow proper safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment. Follow all facility policies and procedures. Maintain floors in resident rooms, hallways, nursing stations, dining areas, offices, and common areas.
