A Floor Technician

A Floor Technician is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restoring various types of flooring in commercial, healthcare, or industrial settings. This role ensures floors are safe, sanitary, and visually well-maintained.

Job Location: Booker T Washington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation - SHREVEPORT, LA 71106. Job Shift: Day.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.
• Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, burnishers, and auto scrubbers.
• Strip, wax, seal, and polish floors.
• Shampoo and maintain carpets.
• Remove stains, spills, and debris promptly.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• Use and store cleaning chemicals safely.
• Maintain equipment and report any repairs needed.
• Place warning signs to prevent accidents (e.g., wet floor signs).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience with floor care equipment (helpful but often not required).
