Job summary

Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a dependable Floor Technician to join our Environmental Services team. The role is Part-Time – Morning/Evening (Flexible) with a salary of $16 per hour.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting and take pride in a clean, safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Key duties include cleaning, stripping, sealing, waxing, buffing floors; maintaining equipment;

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care environment.
• Ability to lift, move, and operate floor equipment as required.
• Ability to work independently and follow schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily assignments and schedules to clean, strip, seal, wax, and buff facility floors.
• Properly maintain and care for all cleaning equipment.
• Clean and water large indoor plants.
• Keep outdoor grounds free of debris; sweep entrances and patios; clean ashtrays and outdoor furniture.
• Help with light equipment maintenance (e.g., lubricating wheelchairs, shower chairs, carts).
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning supplies and materials.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support the facility’s cleanliness and safety standards.
