Job summary

HCA Florida JFK Hospital in Atlantis, FL is seeking a dedicated hospital housekeeping assistant to support daily floor care, dust mopping, stripping, waxing and patient room cleaning. You will move equipment, assist with conference room setups, and follow supervisor instructions in a fast-paced medical environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and less than one year of experience. Strong organizational and communication skills are preferred; training will be provided

Responsibilities

• Operate floor machines and clean assigned areas including patient rooms, floors, stairs and elevators.
• Perform dust mopping, stripping, waxing, scrubbing and buffing as needed.
• Move patient room furniture and beds; assist with conference room setup as required.
• Clean vents and other fixtures; follow supervisor instructions and complete additional duties as assigned.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Responsible for daily operating of floor machines, covering common areas on assigned days as well as patient rooms and floors when census allows. Dust mopping, stripping, waxing, scrubbing, buffing as needed/assigned. Daily cleaning of stairwells, elevators as assigned. Work on baseboards, corners as part of floor work. Cleaning of vents when assigned. Moving of patient room furniture and beds. Conference room set up when needed. Any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.

What qualifications you will need

• High School or GED preferred
• Less than one year experience
• Organizational, Verbal, Interpersonal, and Customer Relations Skills
• Read/ Comprehend written instructions
• Follow verbal instructions
