Job summary

Tommy Bahama in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an Island Guide to lead a store team in delivering world class service and island-inspired style. You will coach and develop staff, manage merchandising to brand standards, and create a relaxed destination for guests.

This role requires 2+ years in retail with team supervision, strong leadership and communication skills, and a “get things done” mindset. Expect varied hours including nights and weekends; pay ranges from $19.00 to $26.00 per hour.

ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE

• You have 2+ years of Retail, with exposure to Retail Merchandising and Visual Concepts
• You have experience supervising a team in a management capacity

• You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a variety of styles
• You are a natural collaborator and are able to identify opportunities and take initiative
• Willingness to perform other duties as required that are necessary to support the business

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and/or move up to approximately 50 pounds frequently
• Bending/stooping/kneeling required – frequently
• Climbing ladders – occasionally
• Routine standing for duration of shift (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to work varied hours and days including nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.

Rate Range: $19.00 or minimum wage - $26.00/hr
