Job summary

A Caring Hand Medical Adult Day Care INC is seeking an organized coordinator to support daily operations and activity programming. You will work with the Activity Coordinator to schedule staff, arrange appointments, and handle lunches while ensuring safety and client comfort.

Your responsibilities include monitoring staff performance, maintaining proper floor etiquette, and assisting with van transportation and vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write and follow written or oral directions.
• Clean criminal background check or approved by Program Director.
• Be physically fit to lift person or persons on and off on vans and provide assistance to those in need.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Activity Coordinator employee schedules, appointments and their lunches.
• Follow through with Activities Coordinators instructions independently and provide feedback to Coordinator on the effectiveness of the activity.
• Set-up, implement and evaluate activities assigned by the direction of the Activities Coordinator.
• Ensure that all employees are performing all required duties that are assigned on daily schedule.
• Initiate re-direction and/or counseling to employees that do not follow company policy or procedures.
• Be accountable for van driver’s whereabouts, driver’s calling in, problems with clients, arriving late, etc.
• Be accountable to ensure that all drivers complete transportation and mileage books accurately.
• Be accountable for schedule adherence and ensure vans are loaded 10 minutes before departure and depart on time.
• Be accountable for the overall cleanliness of the facility and daily cleaning tasks.
• Any other duties assigned or directed by the Program Director or Activity Coordinator.

Job description

1. Coordinate with Activity Coordinator employee schedules, appointments and their lunches.
2. Follow through with Activities Coordinators instructions independently and provide feedback to Coordinator on the effectiveness of the activity.
3. Set-up, implement and evaluate activities assigned by the direction of the Activities Coordinator.
4. Ensure that all employees are performing all required duties that are assigned on daily schedule. Initiate re-direction and or counseling to employees that do not follow company policy or procedures. Make work schedule adjustments to maintain minimum staffing requirements.
5. Maintain proper etiquette on the floor. Diffuse any staff gossip, rudeness or disrespect on the floor. Report to supervisor. There is to be no arguing on the floor. All grievances need to be reported to the Activity Director and handled in private and never in front of a client.
6. Ensure that the ratio of staff and client is fulfilled in each activity area or activity floor.
7. Have counseling with the Activity Coordinator on job performance of each staff and what interventions if any should apply.
8. Be accountable for van driver’s whereabouts, driver’s calling in, problems with clients, arriving late, etc.
9. Be accountable to ensure that all drivers’ complete transportation and mileage books accurately.
10. Be accountable for schedule adherence. Ensure that all activities begin promptly as scheduled and that vans are loaded 10 minutes before departure and departing on time.
11. Be accountable for the overall cleanliness of the facility. Ensure that staff are doing their assigned cleaning tasks each day and that all areas are cleaned and straightened at the end of each day.
12. Coordinate with program director of driver’s requests of maintenance of vehicles.
13. Ensure all drivers follow through with company policies of safety, such as required seat belts for all clients.
14. Responsible for all weekend correspondence to the director by filling out the weekend communication log.
15. Weekly follow-up with toileting such as initial and verify that the book was completed in accordance with company policy and procedure.
16. Be able to fill in a position that is required when it is needed or where there is a shortage, such as toileting, driving a van and or serving and providing assistance with other staff to ensure that the ratio is fulfilled.
17. Any other duties assigned or directed by the Program Director or Activity Coordinator.
