Job summary

CommCare Corporation’s Sterlington Community Care Center in Monroe, LA is seeking a Floor Nurse to ensure residents receive the highest level of care during the 11p-7a shift. You will supervise Nursing Assistants, review care plans, administer medications, and consult with physicians to coordinate clinical care.

The ideal candidate holds an active Louisiana RN or LPN license, preferably with long-term care experience, and remains eligible for Medicare/Medicaid programs.

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must possess and maintain eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents.
• Reviews residents care plans, assures plans are followed and documents resident medical records.
• Supervises care provided by the Nursing Assistants assigned to the unit, providing intervention, education, and assignment adjustments.
• Prepares and administers medication and treatments.
• Consults with physicians.
• Receives and records orders as required.
