Job summary

Landis Communities is seeking a Floor Care Assistant for 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM shifts in Lititz, PA. The role includes refinishing and maintaining floors, carpet cleaning, and assisting with room turnovers across cottages and common areas.

Responsibilities extend to equipment maintenance and adhering to safety, HIPAA, and confidentiality guidelines. On-call every 5th weekend, with full benefits starting on day one.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• General knowledge of equipment maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Refinish, wax, and buff floors as directed.
• Shampoo carpets and clean upholstered furniture as spills occur.
• Clean pool area floor and maintain pool room cleanliness.
• Perform preventative maintenance on housekeeping equipment.
• Assist with cleaning of cottages and room turnovers.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks to ensure timely completion.

Which provides vaccinations, physicals, wellness/sick visits, and can act as a primary care provider to most full and part time staff regardless of their health insurance plansPosition Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Refinishes, waxes and buffs floors as assigned by the supervisor.Shampoos carpets and cleans upholstered furniture as spills/accidents occur.Cleans the floor in the pool area.Cleans filters on vacuum cleaners, cleans out shampooing machines, checks on water level in vacuum cleaner batteries and does many preventative maintenance jobs on housekeeping equipment.Shampoos carpets for Residential Living residents by appointment.Communicates significant happenings in housekeeping to the supervisor in a timely manner.Helps with cleaning of cottages and room turnovers and assists with housekeeping duties as needed to ensure the completion of jobs in a timely manner.Performs regular housekeeping tasks such as cleaning residents rooms, baths, offices, halls and other areas as assigned, washes beds, mattresses, and remakes beds after resident transfers or as scheduled.Keeps assigned areas neat and clean.Demonstrates dependability, competence, accuracy and is observant.Adheres to compliance policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and resident and client rights.Complies with regulatory agency standards and applicable policies and procedures.Complies with safety and infection control protocols in all aspects of the job.QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.General knowledge of equipment maintenance preferred.
