Job summary

JBS USA is hiring a Floor Janitor for the 2nd shift, starting at $18 per hour with a $1 shift differential. The role requires basic cleaning in a production environment, maintaining sanitary conditions and adhering to safety protocols.

You will work alongside a team to ensure clean, organized facilities and may handle routine maintenance of cleaning equipment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, good English communication, and a strong work ethic.

• Able to follow directions and perform cleaning tasks safely.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• To clean and sanitize machinery and floors in a production line setting
• Responsible for all basic cleaning in and around assigned area
• Set up, stocks, and maintains cleaning equipment and supplies
• Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard
• Perform other duties as needed or as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent certification
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be well-organized with good attention to detail
• Display strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Adaptable and dependable with ability to follow direction and work cooperation with others
• Must maintain a helpful and professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, instructions and to deal with problems involving a few different variables.

• Acute close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds throughout the day with a partner.
• Must be able to work for long hours in a no‑kill food processing environment, where it is wet, damp, and cold. Employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
