Job summary

Opensity Solutions is seeking a Floor Host in Houston to deliver hospitality-driven support across office floors. You will assist guests, verify room setup, and connect attendees with the right resources, ensuring smooth meetings and space usability.

A strong service background and tech aptitude are essential for daily coordination and issue resolution. The role requires comfort with standing long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and effective communication with diverse professionals.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years in service/hospitality or event planning.
• Strong technical skills with MS Office, Google Docs, and A/V equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40 lbs.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support for meetings on all office floors and connect with meeting organizers.
• Verify room requirements prior to meetings (lighting, supplies, A/V, temperature).
• Conduct floor tours and ensure space looks its best.
• Use tools to identify solutions and respond to ad hoc questions in person, by email, or by phone.
• Support guests and visitors with workspace access and hoteling culture.
• Verify occupancy and reclaim unused meeting space as appropriate.
• Optimize meeting rooms and spaces to ensure reserved areas are used.
• Monitor rooms for arrivals/departures, noshups, and prepare spaces for next meetings.
• Coordinate with facility maintenance to report issues (furniture stains, carpet, lighting).
• Provide a contact card for in-meeting support and reset rooms after meetings.
