Argonne National Laboratory is seeking a Floor (Operations) Coordinator to support the APS and AES operations on the Advanced Photon Source. The role involves planning with scientific staff, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring safety procedures are followed on the experiment floor.
The position requires a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, strong documentation and communication skills, familiarity with lab construction practices, and the ability to work with diverse teams.
The APS Engineering Support Division (AES) provides reliable operations and technical support to the Advanced Photon Source user community. AES works to ensure that the Advanced Photon Source maintains its status as a preeminent scientific user facility.
Floor (Operations) Coordinators perform a wide range of tasks related to personnel safety, work planning and control, and operations on the experiment floor of the Advanced Photon Source.
This salaried position requires flexibility, including occasional evening and weekend shifts, to meet project demands and organizational needs. It requires mostly on-site presence at the Argonne campus in Lemont, Illinois with the ability to telecommute occasionally if needed.
This position requires a highly adaptable individual with a proven ability to communicate, the discipline to implement established procedures, troubleshooting and problem‑solving capability, a commitment to personnel safety, and a curious nature.

The expected hiring range for this position is $69,750.00 - $108,810.00. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs. Additionally, comprehensive benefits are part of the total rewards package.
