Job summary

Six Mile, LLC is seeking a Floor Tech to perform heavy cleaning duties, including floor stripping/waxing and carpet cleaning. You will maintain floors, wash walls, and handle trash while following safety procedures and PPE use. The role supports Alaska Native community values and operates in a customer-focused environment.

The position emphasizes adherence to training materials, potential additional tasks, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork within indoor settings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prior floor stripping and waxing experience required.
• Knowledge and usage of strip and wax and floor buffing machine equipment or knowledge and usage of carpet extraction equipment.
• Must have the ability to carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, stoop, bend or stand for long periods.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming using a backpack vacuum.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with soapy water or cleaners.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Complete miscellaneous cleaning requests per management or customer.
• Adhere to safety procedures and use proper PPE.
• Understand Six Mile training materials.
• Acknowledge Job Hazard analysis and related safety steps.
• Perform incidental tasks to support team goals with a positive attitude.
