Job summary

Nans Pointe Rehab is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain floor cleanliness, safety, and appearance across resident rooms, hallways, and common areas. The role requires routine cleaning, buffing, waxing, stripping, and carpet care as part of daily duties in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in floor care or housekeeping; healthcare setting a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently.
• Compassionate, respectful, and able to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Floor Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in resident rooms, hallways, common areas, and staff areas.
• Floor Maintenance: Buff, strip, wax, and polish floors per the schedule; maintain polished surfaces.
• Carpet Care: Vacuum, spot clean, shampoo, and deep clean carpets as needed.
• Equipment Operation: Operate floor care equipment and report malfunctions.
• Safety: Follow PPE usage and infection control protocols; ensure a safe environment.
• Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of trash; maintain receptacles.
• Assist with Other Housekeeping Duties: Support during high-traffic times or events.
• Maintain Supply Inventory: Monitor and restock floor care supplies.
• Communication: Report damage or hazards to supervisor or facilities manager.
