Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Tech to maintain and upkeep carpet and hard surface floors in our facilities. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training and a supportive team environment in the Richmond area.

We value safety, punctuality, and good communication as you follow cleaning procedures and operate cleaning equipment. The position runs Mon–Fri evenings, with competitive hourly pay and benefits through ABM.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No experience required; on the job training provided.
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• Preferred: Customer service experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of similar work experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
