Job summary

Harris Health System is seeking an Environmental Services aide to support floor care maintenance across its facilities in Harris County, Texas. The role focuses on following established floor cleaning schedules, maintaining a safe, clean environment for patients and staff, and completing tasks as directed by supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; or six months recent hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience in lieu of high school diploma/GED.
• Three years of hospitality, commercial or healthcare housekeeping experience with at least one year of hard floor maintenance and restoration of commercial floor care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all activities of the Environmental Services (EVS) department with primary duties being floor care maintenance.
• Follow routine floor care and cleaning schedules in addition to management's requests for unscheduled tasks and project assignments.
• Duties may also include cleaning and/or maintaining all areas of Harris Health System facilities.
• Operate equipment safely and work individually or in a team setting.
