Job summary

Servicon is hiring a Floor Care Technician for the East Los Angeles area hospital. The role focuses on high‑quality floor maintenance in a fast-paced healthcare setting, with a competitive hourly wage and full‑time schedule.

The successful candidate will strip/refinish floors, clean carpets, operate specialized equipment, and follow site SOPs. Strong attention to safety, reliability, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year floor technician experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Extensive floor care products knowledge.
• Experience with marble, granite, VCT, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care work including stripping/refinishing, carpet care, and operating specialized equipment.
• Follow Servicon floor care procedures and site SOPs.
• Inspect area during and after work to ensure compliance with procedures and SOW.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and equipment is clean and functional; report malfunctions.
• Track inventory/equipment; provide feedback to supervisor; monitor utilization for cost efficiency.

The Role

Floor Care Technician – East Los Angeles Area Hospital$25.50/hr | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Join our team at a well-known hospital in the East Los Angeles area and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare staff. We are seeking an experienced Floor Care Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality floor maintenance services in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

What You Will Do

• Proficient in performing various types of floor care work including but not limited to: stripping/refinishing hard surface floors, carpet care/extraction, and operating highly-specialized floor care equipment.
• Perform work assignments as directed and in compliance with Servicon’s floor care procedures/processes.
• Inspect assigned area while performing duties and after work has been completed to verify that all work has been done in compliance with site‑specific procedures and client’s Scope of Work (SOW).
• Ensure all supplies are stocked and available, equipment is clean and in good operating order, and/or report malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner.
• Track inventory/equipment, provide feedback to the direct manager, and monitor utilization to ensure efficient and cost-effective use.

What It Takes To Be Successful

• 1+ yr. floor technician experience is preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• Extensive floor care product knowledge
• Working knowledge of multiple hard floor surfaces (marble, granite, VCT, etc.)
• Working knowledge of carpet cleaning procedures (shampooing, extracting, bonneting)
• Ability to perform window cleaning and power washing duties
• Proficient verbal / written communication skills (Spanish a plus)
• Planning / scheduling, problem solving
• Time management skills
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate and follow-up
