Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Floor Care Technician to maintain carpet and hard surfaces across client facilities. You will follow safety procedures and operate chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and fixtures.

This on-site position requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, a valid driver's license, and prior floor care experience. You will collaborate with supervisors and vendors, report needs, and help keep areas clean and presentable.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable).
• Must have side by side machine experience or buffer ride on.
• Must have previous Floor care experience.
• Must have Valid Driver License and a clean driving record.
• Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings/facilities.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify Manager concerning repairs or additions to building systems.
• Establish and maintain communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Comply with safety, security, and quality standards established by the Company and regulators.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Move items to clean areas using hand trucks.
• Clean interior glass, windows, and mirrors with cleaners and squeegees.
• Wash and replace blinds.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Perform seasonal tasks like sweeping, raking leaves, and snow removal.
• Wipe and clean tables, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
