Job summary

Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO is seeking a Floor Care Technician responsible for maintaining all flooring and performing custodian duties as needed. The role reports to the Director of Environmental Services and involves cleaning floors by stripping, waxing, scrubbing, carpet cleaning, and buffing.

Responsibilities include preparing areas for floor care, relocating furniture, placing cones and signs, and communicating with the House Supervisor and area staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floors by stripping, waxing, top scrubbing, carpet cleaning, and buffing.
• Prepare area for floor care by moving furniture, dust mop or vacuum. Place cones and signs to alert everyone that floor care is in process. Gather all supplies needed for the job.
• Maintain communication with the House Supervisor and with the staff working in the area to be cleaned.
• Respond to code red, code green, code pink, code yellow, and other emergency situations.
• When not functioning as a floor tech, will be required to work as a custodian.
• Other duties as assigned.
