Job summary

Singing River Health System is seeking a Floor Care Specialist to clean, strip, wax floors and shampoo carpets across hospital areas in Ocean Springs. Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent and de-escalation training (or completion within orientation). Experience in floor finishing and carpet care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Cleans, strips and waxes floors and shampoos carpets per schedule.
• Operates floor scrubbers, carpet extractors and related equipment safely.
• Has undergone de-escalation training or completes it within orientation.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, corridors, offices and clinics in a timely, neat manner.
• Strip, wax and shampoo floors; extract carpets using appropriate tools.
• Handle infectious waste per policy and maintain sanitation standards.
• Report maintenance needs to Environmental Services Manager and manage supplies.
